Gotcha! Elephant Caught Cheating

Neua Un finds a workaround for her assigned task, shown in this NPR task. Clever little lass, hmmm?


The comments depress me somewhat though. Have these people never heard of the "moving goalpost" logical fallacy? The idea that, whatever is proven to be true (i.e. animal intelligence), you can just make a more difficult standard to disprove the theory.

Animals show surprising intelligence every time we try to test them for it. Just because they don't talk doesn't mean they don't think! This is yet another example of smart critters.
